What is MyARTS
MyARTS is part of the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Arts Initiative through the Anti-Drug Unit of Jackson County, Missouri. MyARTS has served the community of Jackson County at the crossroads location since 2006. We are expanding MyARTS into eastern Jackson County off the Independence Square at 315 N. Main St., Independence, Missouri. This expansion includes an increase in programming, targeting all ages.
MyARTS offers a safe learning environment for youth to explore their creative side while having positive effects on their academic achievement and social growth. MyARTS features fully equipped studios: Graphic Design, Ceramics, Visual Arts, Screen Printing, and Photography. Whether you are looking for an art program for your 12 year older during the summer, an after school program for your 16 year old, or a Saturday program for the entire family, MyARTS is “your” community art center.
In addition to youth programs, MyARTS offers services to individuals and organizations in the community, meeting their needs in business branding, website design, commissioned artwork, photo shoots, murals, t-shirt designs, etc. The young artists within the studios are able to work with the clients in a one-on-one capacity, with the mutual goal of complete client satisfaction. This is a unique opportunity for the young artists to learn early on how to work with clients to meet their artistic needs.
MyARTS has a vibrant, growing art scene that remains accessible to the community. MyARTS supports youth, local artists and arts organizations through services and programming.
